Our plant is situated near Neyveli in Tamil Nadu. Neyveli Lignite Corporation’s mines are one of the best sources of High Alumina Refractory Clay in the Country.

Crushed Refractory is the only source of Boiler Bed Material till we started manufacturing Iron free Bed Material for FBC Boilers. It is otherwise called as Refractory Bed Material for Fluidized Bed Combustion Boilers. We are the only manufacturer of Iron Free Bed Material for both AFBC / CFBC Boilers. Crushed Refractory is sourced from refractory debris. Or otherwise called as Waste refractory bricks. Such Boiler Bed Material from Crushed Refractory contains many unwanted elements. Iron content in the Boiler Bed Material from Crushed Refractory is a major deterrent to fluidized bed boiler.

We wash virgin Refractory Clay, press to specific Bed Material sizes in hydraulic system and calcinate to 1450 degree. As Refractory Bed Material is specially made for the purpose the Bed Material is uniform and all parameters are obtained with precision.

Because of our Boiler Bed Material’s perfect bulk density the fluidization is flawless. Different sizes of Boiler Bed Material are made according to specific use.

Why Iron Free Bed Material for FBC Boilers?

Iron free bed material for FBC boilers was developed to overcome the issues related to the use of conventional 'crushed refractory'. It was used and scraped from different industries and was the only source at that time. These were the used & waste bricks that brought various impurities with it, including active silica and iron. These impurities would melt at 900oC and become clinker. This resulted in high bulk density, which made fluidization extremely difficult.

These issues were subjugated by our Iron free bed material for FBC boilers. The material has following features or benefits:

• Does not form clinker even at high temperatures
• Fluidization is perfect, even at low pressure
• Optimal coal consumptions
• Less abrasive than crushed refractory
• Precise particle size is acquired via rigorous sieving at various levels
• Initial deformation temperature is 1600^oC.
  

Infrastructure

The refractory bed material (iron free) for FBC boilers, which is manufactured by us, is used in high temperature furnaces & various industrial technologies. Hence, it is very important for us to develop it accurately. Consequently, we have developed a state-of-the-art infrastructure which comprises production facility, laboratories for testing the products, and effective packaging & warehousing facility.

The production facility is outfitted with various SPMs (Special Process Machines) and other equipment to ensure that the developed materials match the criteria, that is accepted globally. The refractory materials are developed as per the industrial requirements. As these materials are used in different applications, we manufacture these materials in different sizes.
